For your comfort and well-being

We have our guests’ best interest in mind, especially during the evolving global COVID-19 pandemic. The following Health and Safety protocols have been implemented at Nedile Lodge to ensure our guests’ well-being, safety and comfort remains a top priority during their stay. These health protocols also ensure that we comply with the social distancing and risk mitigating regulations relating to the Disaster Management Act 57 of 2002 of South Africa.

All guests and staff will be screened by having their temperature taken upon arrival at the Welgevonden Game Reserve gate. This is in accordance with the government approved symptom assessment protocols. All guests and staffs’ temperatures will also be recorded on a daily basis in a comfortable, noninvasive and prompt manner.
Although we typically welcome our guests with a warm handshake, we now encourage new distant greetings between staff and our guests.
The main lodge area as well our five luxurious suites are spacious enough to ensure the necessary distance that also provides natural airflow. Each suite will be thoroughly sanitised and cleaned between departures and arrivals. Guests will also have the option to either have their rooms turned down during their stay or not.
Sanitisers and disinfectants will be readily available in all areas of the Lodge for both guests and staff.
Guests are advised to bring their own masks, however branded mask will also be available at our curio shop. All staff will be equipped with the necessary personal protective gear to comfortably engage with guests.
Processes are in place to ensure thorough sanitising of all shared devices, such as payment points, luggage, game drive vehicles, and the main lodge.
Guests will be able to enjoy our game drives. Game drive vehicles will be limited to a maximum of seven guests per vehicle to ensure there is enough space between each guest. After each drive, the vehicles will be cleaned and santised. Family units that normaly live together will be able to exceed these guidelines.
All the tables in the dining areas will have a space of minimum 2 meters between each other. All meals will be served outdoors, if the weather permits.
Rest assured that all back-of-house operations at Nedile Lodge follow strict health and safety measures with regards to aspects such as housekeeping, preparation of meals, and food deliveries.
